Abstract
Cilj ovog istraţivanja bio je utvrditi razlike u morfologiji klasa s obzirom na korištenje različitih oplemenjivačkih ciljeva i metoda. Istraţivanje je provedeno na 20 sorata koje su priznate u razdoblju od 1929. do 2006. godine. Sorte su odabrane na temelju godine priznavanja, zastupljenosti u proizvodnji i području uzgoja. Od dvadeset sorata, pet sorata su divlji srodnici, četiri sorte su iz Hrvatske, po dvije sorte iz Srbije i Austrije, te po jedna sorta iz Tibeta, Kine, Amerike, Japana, Indije, Poljske i Koreje. Divlji srodnici imali su visoke ocjene za neka bitna svojstva u oplemenjivanju te su prema tome upravo divlji srodnici utjecali na poboljšanje svojstava klasa u tijekom oplemenjivanja. Bez obzira na godinu priznavanja, sorte imaju različite ocjene za duljinu klasa, što moţe upućivati na to da duljina klasa često nije bila ključni faktor za visinu prinosa. Usporedbom ocjena compactum, sphaerococcum i spelta pšenice, vidljivo je da Q gen inhibira speltoidnost jer je T. compactum i T. sphaerococcum koji nose Q gen imaju različite ocjene u odnosu na T. spelta. Rezultati ukazuju da je gen C tj. T. compactum odgovoran za gusti klas, jer ima najveću ocjenu upravo za to svojstvo. Isto tako je uočeno da T. sphaerococcum koji posjeduje gen S koji je odgovoran za kraću duljinu klasa ima upravo u tom svojstvu najmanju ocjenu. Iz rezultata je uočeno da najduţi klasovi imaju vretenast oblik klasa, što moţe upućivati na to da su QTL za duljinu i kompaktnost klasa povezani. Dobiveni rezultati ukazuju na mogućnost odabira roditeljskih parova udaljenih po porijeklu s različitim svojstvima klasa za razvoj nove oplemenjivačke populacije i daljnji razvoj genetske varijabilnosti germplazme heksaploidne pšenice.

Parallel abstract (English)
The aim of this research was to determine the differences in the morphology of the ear regarding the use of different breeding aims and methods. The research was conducted on 20 wheat varieties that were recognized between the year 1929 and 2006. The selection of the varieties for inclusion in this research was based on the varieties year of release, their presence in production, and cultivation area. Among twenty varieties, five of them are wild relatives, four varieties are from Croatia, two from Serbia, two from Austria, and one from Tibet, China, America, Japan, India, Poland, and Korea. Wild relatives had high grades in some of the important breeding traits, and according to that wild relatives had significant influence on the improvement of important ear traits in breeding programs. Regardless the year of recognition, the varieties had different grades for the length of the ear. That can be interpreted by the fact that the length of the ear often was not the directly related to grain yield. By comparing the grades of compactum, sphaerococcum and spelta varieties, it can be seen that the Q gene inhibits the influence of the T. spelta, because T. compactum i T. sphaerococcum that carry the Q gene have different grades in comparison to the T. spelta. The results confirm the statement that the gene C, i.e. T. compactum, is responsible for the thickness of the ear, which might lead to the conclusion that the QLT for the length and the compactness of the ear are connected. The obtained results suggest the possibility of selection of parental material distant by the origin and with different characteristics of the ear for the development of a new breeding population and further development of genetic variability of the germplasm of hexaploid wheat.
