Abstract
Procjenjuje se da je 1.7 milijardi svjetskog stanovništva već danas pogođeno nestašicom vode i broj će biti sve veći ako se globalno ne prihvate načela održivog razvoja koja bi povezala upravljanje zalihama sa zaštitom kvalitete vode. Ulaskom Republike Hrvatske u EU, 1.7.2013. na snagu je stupila Nitratna direktiva koje bi se trebali pridržavati svi poljoprivredni proizvođači. Cilj ovoga rada je utvrditi ispiranje dušika s gnojidbenih parcela na dva lokaliteta ukopavanjem piezometara i na taj način utvrditi postoji li opasnost o onečišćenja podzemnih voda nitratnim i amonijskim dušikom. Koncentracija nitratnog dušika u podzemnoj vodi na oba lokaliteta, kretala se od 16 mg NO3- dm-3 do 30 mg NO3- dm-3, što je prema postojećem Pravilniku relativno niska vrijednost, usprkos povećanom intenzitetu oborina i visokoj razini podzemne vode. Provođenje akcijskih programa i monitoringa vrlo su važne mjere radi smanjenja zagađenja akvatičnih ekosustava kao i ostalih ekosustava koji bitno utječu na okoliš.

Parallel abstract (English)
It is estimated that 1.7 bilion of the world population even today is affected by water shortage, and the number would be much larger if the principles of sustainable development are not globaly embraced to link inventory management with the protection of water quality. By Croatian accession to the EU, 07/01/2013. Nitrates Directive came into force, which should be respected by all farmers. The aim of this study was to determine the leaching of nitrogen from fertilizer plots at two sites by digging piezometers and thus determine whether there is a risk of groundwater contamination with nitrates and ammonia nitrogen. The contetration of nitrate nitrogen in groundwater at both sites, ranged from 16 mg. NO3 dm-3 to 30 mg NO3- dm-3, which is under the existing Regulations relatively low value, despite the increase in the intensity of rainfall and high level of groundwater. The implementation of action programs and monitoring are very important measures to reduce pollution in aquatic ecosystems and other ecosystems that significantly affect the environment.
