Abstract
Biološki načini suzbijanja korova temelje se na činjenici da mnogi fitofagni insekti i neke životinje (nematode, ptice i puževi), zatim mnogi fitopatogeni (virusi, bakterije, gljive) te parazitske cvjetnice mogu smanjiti populaciju korova do razine kad korov više nije štetan. Načini biološkog suzbijanja korova su: klasični, konzervacijski, augmentativni. Neki od znanstvenih istraživanja gdje su se primjenjivala biološka suzbijanja su opisana u radu. Biološko suzbijanje korova pomoću insekata uspješno je provedeno u Americi grmolikog korova Lantana camara, u Australiji kaktusa Opuntia sp.,u Kaliforniji Hypericum perforatum, uporaba hrđe Puccinia chondrillina pri suzbijanju korova u Australiji. Primjena hrđe Phragmidioum violaceum u suzbijanju divlje kupine Rubus spp., biološko suzbijanje akvatičnih korova i primjena bioherbicida. Biološko suzbijanje zahtijeva i neke zakonske regulative kako bi se što pravilnije koristilo. Primjena bioloških metoda se sve više proučava ali i primjenjuje u ekološkoj zaštiti bilja.

Biological methods of weed control based on the fact that many phytophagous insects and some animals (nematodes, birds and snails), then many phytopathogenic (viruses, bacteria, fungi) and parasitic flowering can reduce weed populations to a level where the weed is not harmful. Methods of biological control of weeds: classical, conservation, augmentative. Some of the scientific studies which have been applied biological control are described in this paper. Biological control of weeds by insects has been successfully implemented in America bush weed Lantana camara in Australia cactus Opuntia sp., California Hypericum perforatum, use rust Puccinia chondrillina the weed in Australia. Apply rust Phragmidioum violaceum in suppressing wild blackberry Rubus spp., Biological control of aquatic weeds and application bioherbicides. Biological control requires some legislation to be as correctly used. The application of biological methods is increasingly studied as well as applied in organic crop protection
