Abstract
Eterična ulja i njihove komponente, kao grupa fitogenih aditiva hrani, imaju velike mogućnosti korištenja u tovu brojlera. Zbog njihovih antimikrobnih i antioksidativnih svojstava, te djelovanja na poboljšanu probavljivost hrane može se očekivati njihov pozitivan utjecaj na zdravstveni status životinja, a time i bolje krajnje rezultate tova. U ovom istraživanju pratio se utjecaj eteričnog ulja komorača (Foeniculum vulgare), zeolita te eteričnog ulja komorača sa zeolitom na proizvodne i klaoničke pokazatelje tovnih pilića. Pokus je proveden na brojlerima Ross 308, koji su bili podijeljenu u 4 skupine (kontrolna i skupine s uljem komorača, zeolita ili njihova kombinacija). Tov je trajao 42 dana. Utjecaj dodataka eteričnih ulja i prirodnog zeolita imao je različit utjecaj na pojedine praćene vrijednosti. Zasebno dodano eterično ulje komorača imao je dobar utjecaj na praćena svojstva u tovu, i tehnološka svojstava mesa. Zeolit, kao samostalni dodatak najslabije je utjecao na praćena svojstva, ali je u kombinaciji s eteričnim ulje komorača njegovo djelovanje bilo izražajnije. U pilića uz dodatak eteričnog ulja komorača, utvrđena je povišena aktivnost enzima GPx, a aktivnost SOD u skupini pilića hranjenih uz dodatak zeolita

Essential oils and their components, as a group phytogenic feed additive, have great potential use in broiler fattening. Because of their antimicrobial and antioxidant properties and effects on improved digestibility of food their positive impact on the health status of the animals can be expected, and therefore better end results of fattening. In this research we studied the impact of essential oil of Foeniculum vulgare, zeolite and a combination of zeolite with essential oil of Foeniculum vulgare on the fattening performance of chickens. The experiment was conducted on broilers, Ross 308, which were divided into 4 groups (control and treatment groups depending on the different supplements of essential oils, zeolites, or combinations thereof). Fattening lasted 42 days. Influence of the addition of essential oils and natural zeolite had a different impact on the observed individual values. Separately added essential oil of Foeniculum vulgare had a good effect on the observed properties of fattening. Zeolite, as a standalone supplement, had the lowest impact on the observed properties, but in combination with essential oil of Foeniculum vulgare, Zeolite improved its activity. Higher activity of GPx was determined in group with essential oil addition, but higher SOD activity with zeolite addition.
