Abstract
Heljda (Fagopyrum esculentum) je vrlo korisna biljka za ekološki uzgoj. Dobro se uklapa u plodored zbog kratke vegetacije - kao naknadni usjev. Poboljšava čistoću tla jer koristi teško topive fosfate koji se nalaze u dubljim slojevima tla. Heljda je odlične hranidbene vrijednosti zbog velikog broja proteina. Posjeduje antikancerogeno djelovanje zahvaljujući vitaminu P - rutinu. Heljda se koristi kao zrno, pahuljice ili brašno.

Buckwheat (Fagopyrum esculentum) is a very useful plant for organic production. It fits well in crop rotation due to a short growing season - as subsequent crop. It improves the purity of the soil because it uses hardly soluble phosphates contained in the deeper layers of soil. Buckwheat has a great nutritional value because oft he large number of proteins. It has anticancer activity due to vitamin P - routine. Buckwheat is used as grain, cereal or flour.
