Abstract
Istraživanje je postavljeno na pokušalištu Poljoprivrednog instituta u Osijeku tijekom vegetacijske sezone 2011. godine. Pomoću metode „gipsanih blokova“ praćen je sadržaj vode u tlu, a mjerenja su vršena pomoću Watermark uređaja. Dobivene vrijednosti korištene su u svrhu planiranja navodnjavanja sjemenskog kukuruza kako bi se nadoknadio nedostatak vode u tlu. Planirano je održavati sadržaj vode u tlu na dvije razine: A2 – sadržaj vode u tlu se kreće od 60% do 100% poljskog vodnog kapaciteta (PVK) i A3 – sadržaj vode u tlu se kreće od 80% do 100% PVK. A1 varijanta predstavlja suho ratarenje odnosno, na tim parcelama nije provedeno navodnjavanje. Rezultati provedenog istraživanja pokazuju praktičnost i korisnost „metode gipsanih“ blokova u svrhu praćenja dinamike vode u tlu i odlučivanju u planiranju navodnjavanja.

Research has been set up at the trial fields of Agricultural Institute in Osijek during vegetation season 2011. Soil water content has been measured with the method of “gypsum blocks” and the values have been read with Watermark device. Given results have been used to schedule irrigation of maize hybrids for seed production and to monitor soil water content so that water deficit in soil can be refund by irrigation. Soil moisture has been kept at two different levels: A2 – soil moisture content has been held by irrigation from 60% to 100% filed water capacity (FWC), A3 - soil moisture content has been held by irrigation from 80% to 100% FWC. A1 was control variant in which plants where having water only form natural precipitation – dry farming. Results of this research are showing the usefulness and effectiveness of “gypsum blocks” and Watermark device in monitoring of soil water content and keeping the moisture at desirable level for plant production.
