Abstract
U radu je obrađena tema potrošačkog etnocentrizma i hrane. Na početku su definirani pojmovi hrane, poljoprivrede, etnocentrizma i potrošačkog etnocentrizma kako bi se dao uvod u rad. Velik dio rada posvećen je tržištu Republike Hrvatske i problemima koji okružuju domaću poljoprivredu te sprječavaju razvitak i povećanje domaće proizvodnje. Negativna vanjskotrgovinska bilanca, kontinuirano smanjenje poljoprivrednog stanovništva, mala zemljišta za obradu, nedovoljna sredstva , samo su neki od uzroka lošeg stanja hrvatske poljoprivrede. Kako je potrošački etnocentrizam baziran na kupovini domaćih proizvoda, cilj rada bio je istražiti kolika je održivost potrošačkog etnocentrizma u Republici Hrvatskoj s obzirom na proizvodnju hrane.

Parallel abstract (English)
This paper discusses the topic of consumer ethnocentrism and food. Terms like food, agriculture, ethnocentrism and consumer ethnocentrism are defined at the beginning of the paper as an introduction. The biggest part of the paper is dedicated to the Croatian market and problems surrounding domestic agriculture that prevent the development and increase of domestic production . The negative trade balance, continuous reduction of the agricultural population, small land treatment, insufficient resources, are some of the causes of the poor condition of Croatian agriculture. As consumer ethnocentrism is based on the purchase of domestic products, the objective of this paper was to investigate the sustainability of consumer ethnocentrism in the Republic of Croatia in terms of food production
