Abstract
Za proizvodnju hrane na ekološki prihvatljiv način u našoj zemlji postoji sve veći interes, jer težimo u našu prehranu uključiti što više namirnica životinjskog i biljnog podrijetla, koje su proizvedene bez upotrebe pesticida, stimulatora rasta i drugih štetnih tvari po ljudski život štetnih tvari. U tom pogledu imamo velike mogućnosti, jer obzirom na geografski položaj, klimatske specifičnosti, čisti okoliš i kvalitetne pašnjake možemo proizvoditi takvu vrstu hrane ne samo za potrebe vlastitog stanovništva, već i za inozemno tržište. Tijekom posljednjih nekoliko godina je u nas doneseno više zakonskih propisa iz područja ekološke poljoprivrede, što zapravo čini skup standarada za ekološku proizvodnju, preradu i označavanje ekoloških proizvoda. Ekološko stočarstvo kao dio ekološke poljoprivrede posebno je zastupljeno u Pravilniku o ekološkoj proizvodnji životinjskih proizvoda (NN 13/02) koji između ostalog propisuje uvjete uzgoja peradi na ekološki prihvatljiv način. Stoga su na osnovu navedenog pravilnika u radu navedeni minimalni zahtjevi za uzgoj peradi na što prirodniji način radi zadovoljenja njihovih bioloških i etoloških potreba te brige za sprječavanje onečišćenja okoliša.

Parallel abstract (English)
In Croatia there is an increasing interest in ecological food production, owing to attempts to form the diet of as many as possible victuals of animal and plant origin, produced without use of pesticide, growth stimulant orany other harmful substance. There are lots of regarding possibilities. Considering geographical environment, climate qualities, clean environment and pasture grounds of quality, we are able to produce such food not only for needs of local inhabitants, but for foreign market as well. With recent years some legislative regulations have been introduced in the domain of ecological production, processing and marking of ecologically made products. Environmental cattles breeding, as part of ecological agriculture, is specially represented in Act of environmental production of products of animal origin (NN 13/02), which in part regulates conditions of poultry farming. Therefore, this paper works out the minimal requirements for poultry farming in more natural way, because of meeting of biological and ethological needs and promoting environmental concerns
